Passenger gives bizarre "allergy" list to flight attendant: 'She really needs to rethink her traveling options'

Food allergies are taken very seriously on flights, but this passenger seems confused about what medical issues she actually has going on. 

Any allergies should be taken seriously, but not all are created equal. For instance, maybe you're a little allergic to a hair product that makes your skin itch when you wear it, so you just avoid it. Or maybe you know that if you eat shellfish, you'll break out in hives, so you keep that out of your diet. But some people have extremely serious allergies that can be life threatening, and even if you don't have one, you probably know someone who does. Nut allergies are one of the most common ones. If you went to school with just a single kid who had a peanut allergy, your school may have banned peanut butter all together. It's just not a laughing matter — for some folks, even a scent of their allergen can cause their body to start the allergic reaction, sending them to the hospital. 

For those with allergies that severe, traveling can be nerve wracking. Luckily, airlines do take this kind of thing seriously, and they can keep passengers with special requirements safe while traveling if they know about these allergies ahead of time.

However, this person claims to have allergies, and maybe they do…but their self-typed note about it is just bizarre, as you can read below. Read it for yourself, then see if you agree with what the commenters are buzzing about too.

    I have a cashew allergy so if you could refrain from serving nuts I would appreciate it. I also am highly allergic to the smell of coffee and would appreciate it if you could refrain from brewing coffee. As even the smell can stop my breathing.

    Nut allergies are quite serious, and airlines take great precautions to help those who need accommodation. If you're allergic to the scent of gasoline, though, you're going to have trouble going, well, anywhere. The airport is going to smell like gasoline, but so are many parking lots and gas stations… That one is a head-scratcher. Also, just disliking the smell of something doesn't make it an allergy, but this person seems confused on that matter.

    I also have several medications that I need to take and as a result drinks a lot of water. If you could spare a large bottle from the onset of the flight that would be greatly appreciated, this way I don't have to constantly ask you for more water. Thank You for your patience and understanding in trying to make the flight as enjoyable as possible for me. I appreciate you. Seat HA

    As a commenter pointed out, you can just bring an empty water bottle and fill it up at a water fountain once you're past security. Unless you like bothering the flight attendants… and this person does seem exceptionally needy, so perhaps they do.

    Twuggy even the smell can stop her breathing. How did she get through the airport? How many coffee shops would she have had to go by to get to the gate? Not to mention the rest of life? Adding that onto the smell of fuel it seems just like they don't like certain smells.

    pm_me_x-files_q... The fuh...? I take a lot of medications too. You know what I do? I bring an empty water bottle. past airport security, fill it up at the water fountains JUST 50 FEET AWAY, and take it on the plane with me.
